Six quotes to take into 2026.

Six quotes to take into 2026.

January 3, 2026

New years resolutions are often glossed over but innately we all want to be better people than the year before.

The problem now is that we really don’t know what are the best areas to improve, especially in todays world where values are constantly challenged and redefined by technology and evolving social norms.

Here are six areas that could work though.

Courage

“Everyday you need to pay with courage.”

Last year, Fujifilm ran an event designed for creatives aiming to inspire and grow the creator community in Australia.

One of the themes was about the courage and bravery of content creators to put themselves out there regularly.

I’d like to do more of that this year.

The summit is back this year, this time in Melbourne on the 9th May 2026.

Ambition

“Ships are safe in the harbour, but that’s not what ships are built for.”

I attended another creator event in July called FRMEFEST (“Frame Fest”).

This quote is about empowering people to be more ambitious.

Most people have the resources, but not the courage and commitment to go for it.

I’m a big fan of Vinh and people like him will be crucial in helping shape how we navigate the world today.

Time

“No minute gone comes ever back again.”

I feel like as more time passes we act more directly towards what we want to do.

Even in the 21st century living with no regrets has become more important than ever.

Self Improvement

There is no best, only better.

This was next to my hotel in Ho Chi Minh City, its from a milk tea shop called Ulangon.

I really connect with this quote because its a simple guideline to follow.

Personal Brand

“Your personal brand is not what you plan, it’s what you show up for.”

Actions always speak louder than words. We should mainly pay attention to where our instincts lead us.

And so much of that is about the commitment to just be yourself.

Connection

You cannot have intimacy without vulnerability.

There is part of a new wave of content managers, who are using their content skills to help others turn their content ideas into thriving businesses.

It’s been 20 years since the first social media platforms came out and it’s absurdly competitive now.

To connect more meaningfully we have to keep putting ourselves out there more than ever before.

The themes for this year.

Courage, Ambition, Time, Self Improvement, Personal Brand, Connection.

They’re all based around becoming a stronger and more prominent person in this world.

I’m writing this to try and become a better person and make myself accountable for the whole of 2026.

More to come.
